Red Sox Prayer
Our Lord of Fenway, God of all things seen, and green (like the monster),
Be with our gentlemen tonight, as they cruise (around the bases like Ellsbury), and over the Rays for a victory tonight.
See them hitting the ball hard, being swift, and gloves accurate and on.
Arms firing hard (Beckett), and the wind in fenway against our backs.
Gods of hits, runs and outs, please grant us easy outs on defense, long innings and high scores on offense, may we hit and run, hit off the wall, and not commit any errors.
Lord, once again, I ask you to be with Bay, Lowrie, Ellsbury, Kotsay, Ortiz, Varitek, Pedroia, Youkillis, Lowell and of course Beckett, and also with the Bench, Bullpen and the coaching staff. . . lead us to victory.
Lord, thank you so very much for the fall of the yankees, we do owe you one!, And oh yes lord, who ever it is praying hard in Tampa and Toronto to give them the luck they're getting, please know, Bostonians and the Red Sox Nation have been praying longer, and harder. . . so thanks again for 2004, 2007 and I'll just thank you in advance for the victory in the world series over the Cubs this year.
Ellsbury for ROY, Pedroia for MVP, Dice-K for Cy Young, and the Sox for Champs in 2008. . . . . . . . . . too much to ask?

Our father, who art in fenway, baseball be thy name. Thy playoffs come, may redsox run, from their first win to their second . give us this day our daily seeds and beer, and forgive us our trespasses, as we beat the rays as they play against us. and lead us not into the loss column, but deliver us to october.. amen.
